Upgrade Music Practice Manager
Your licence includes free updates for the lifetime of your major version. Upgrading to a new major version is an optional paid upgrade — your existing version will always continue to work.
policy Upgrade Policy
When you purchase a Music Practice Manager licence you receive free updates for the lifetime of that major version. For example, if you purchased any 1.x release, every subsequent 1.x update — including bug fixes and new features — is yours at no extra cost, delivered automatically through the in-app update system.
Upgrading to a new major version (for example, from version 1.x to version 2.x) requires a separate upgrade purchase. The upgrade is entirely optional — your existing version will continue to work exactly as before.

Back up your data
Before upgrading, we recommend making a backup of your practice library. Your data will remain intact after installing the new version, but a backup gives you peace of mind if anything unexpected happens.
Purchase an upgrade licence
Use the Buy Upgrade button above to purchase your upgrade licence through Lemon Squeezy. Your new licence key will be emailed to you on completion. You can also download the new version directly from the checkout confirmation page.
Download and install the new version
Download the new version using the Download button above, or from the Lemon Squeezy checkout confirmation page. Open the .dmg file and drag Music Practice Manager into your Applications folder, replacing the existing version.
Activate with your upgrade licence key
Launch the new version and enter your upgrade licence key when prompted. Your practice library and all existing data will be available immediately — no re-importing needed.
Your data is safe. Music Practice Manager stores your library data locally on your Mac. Installing a new major version does not remove or overwrite your existing library. We still recommend taking a backup before upgrading, just to be safe.
